Cushion-making workshop, London

There are a few places left at this workshop. It’s at the Geffrye Museum in East London in a couple of weeks time, come along and make-along.

Adult Workshop: Crafty Cushions
Saturday 10 February 2007, 11.00am – 4.00pm. Tickets £25 in advance (includes materials, but not lunch). 020 7739 9893
Be inspired by the new period rooms and make a unique cushion using recycled materials and a range of techniques with artist and textile historian Ruth Singer.

I’m planning to work with applique and found materials to create simple, textured cushions, catering for all levels of skill.

Talking of cushions, I’ve designed and written instructions for making a 100% recycled cushion cover from old clothes, which will appear in the Guardian newspaper on 3rd February in a special make-it-yourself craft supplement. It’s a whole cushion-making month!
