Just a quick note from me – buried as I am under a mountain of work, and about to go on holiday. Purely by chance I have just found and watched a great BBC4 programme on iplayer all about Harris tweed. Yes, not just an hour-long programme about it, but a whole series!
I’m not sure that last time I saw a tv programme about fabric, let alone a 3 part series. I am bizarrely excited about a programme about the near-death of a traditional textile industry. Is this weird? If it is, I don’t care. Enjoy!
ps – BBC iplayer is of course only for those in the UK, sorry overseas folks.
That was great, wasn't it? Can't wait for part 2 🙂
I must remember to watch this – isn't iplayer fantastic. I think I watch it more than regular tv.
I too caught this completely by chance and was totally smitten. Well done BBC4!
Thanks to the pointer – I am watching more and more programmes on BBC4 nowadays. Does that mean I am getting old? or more mature?
