February is knit-month

I have decreed that February is for knitting. This has been much helped by lovely friends on my birthday at the weekend. Mary bought me this:

Colinette Zanziba. Two skeins, destined to be a tiny cardigan thing.

A week or two ago I was in raptures about Jen’s handspun yarn. I love natural cream wool. She gave me this little skein and I’ll have to find something very special to make with it. It looks great just nestling with this amber necklace made by Liam.

and Sarah made these fabulous mitts for me!

My family bought me a much-wanted red toaster. I love it, even though its nothing to do with knitting.

Knitting + toast + lovely friends and family = perfect February.
