Material Evidence exhibition is all about my research-led work from 2020-2023. Much of this is ongoing work in development and more connections will be made across and between the pieces. The best place to find out more about this project is Making Meaning Journal.

Imprint
Imprint is an archive of an archive: a series of small artworks made in response to a family textile collection I was given a couple of years ago.

Criminal Quilts
Three pieces from the final exhibition of Criminal Quilts were also included in Material Evidence as they have not been seen so much.

Borders
This is the start of a new body of work looking at borders and boundaries, escape routes and paths to safety inspired by my grandmother’s story.

Part of Cultures of Care
This is part of my two-year Cultures of Care project funded by Arts Council England 2023-2025.
Cultures of Care is an umbrella for several creative activities including residencies with community organisations, research projects in museums and new work on topics such as migration, destroyed communities and other hidden stories of care and damage of people, places and objects.

Making Meaning Journal is part of my Cultures of Care project. Issue 1 includes projects and artworks related to the care. Find out more here.
