What is Cultures of Care Group?

This online monthly session is a space for reflection, thinking and conversation about care in creative practice.

Why is this happening?

It’s part of my ongoing Cultures of Care project, exploring themes of care in my work. The Cultures of Care Group is a free session once a month for artists and creatives who are interested in the themes of care in creative work and who want some thinking time and a community of like-minded people to share with.

What is a Cultures of Care Group session going to be like?

In each session, I will open with a simple grounding exercise then give a short talk / reflection about an aspect of care in creative practice, related to what I am working on at the time. I will facilitate discussion and reflection on the talk for 30 minutes or so. This first section will be up to one hour. The second, optional, part of the Group session is an hour of communal quiet reflection, thinking, journalling or making time, with a little time for sharing reflections and thoughts at the end.
