Hidden Histories online talk for Embroiderers Guild

On Thursday 9th November I’m giving a talk about my work for the UK Embroiderers Guild.

Ruth Singer’s work is all about illuminating stories and histories that we might not otherwise notice, from Victorian women criminals to personal and emotional stories of loss, via museum collections and nature connection. Ruth loves sharing these stories through her textile practice as well as writing and podcasts, and hearing how her work resonates with others.

In this talk, Ruth will share some of her recent work on themes of emotional repair, damage and healing, and family histories to give you an insight into how her research-based practice works and how she moved from study to making and sharing.

The talk is at 7pm GMT and is online, but not recorded, so if you want to hear it, you will need to come along. Find out more and book here.
