The skirt kit has already arrived! I wanted to start sewing immediately but lack of scissors (at home) meant I couldn’t get too distracted from far more urgent things. I’m planning to make some adaptations to it, so need to spend a little quality time on it.
But mainly this week I’ve been in the studio, making new work for the first time in 7 months (exhibition pieces rather than designing projects and making samples for a book) . And I am HAPPY.

Intriguing – I like the look of the pointy petals? pigs ears? at the bottom.
interesting …. looking forwrad to seeing the final pieces.
Your work is wonderful but my attention was caught momentarily by the Rob Ryan skirt kit. I followed the link you provided and I’m afraid it’s love. True love. One question I’m hoping you can quickly answer for me,though: what is the quality of the print and the cotton? I am sorely tempted to make it as part of my wedding outfit for this coming June in Australia. Can you tell me what it’s like in real life?
furrybees – the print and fabric are great. Not that I’ve started sewing yet – tomorrow I hope!
Thanks a lot. Now the excuses are getting fewer to purchase it…
