Fat Quarters book & giveaway

I’m pleased to be part of this gorgeous new book from Lark Crafts. Fat Quarters, Small Fabrics, More than 50 Big Ideas comes out this week and I have contributed three projects.

My projects are:

A patchwork pieced tie, using complicated bias cutting and lovely fabric from Lu Summers.

An origami-style folded decoration on a cushion. I love the styling of this project on the yellow chair.

A little bag with oval floral pockets which is looking for a new home – see below

There are lots of nice projects in the book including some gorgeous quilts which I am tempted to make and a pincushion by my friendΒ Heather, which I will *definitely* make.

I’m giving away the bag to one lucky reader (UK only please). To enter, please share this post online and comment below, telling me approximately how many fat quarters there are in your stash! Giveaway open until Midnight Tuesday 31st March.

  1. I probably have around 50 fat quarters in my stash. I’m part of a fq swap group so my stash is always growing.

  2. Shared the post on Facebook. I must have 30+ fat quarters at the moment but they’re so lovely it’s hard to use them!

  3. I have none but maybe I need some in my life so I could make some items from this book. Too much competition with the rest of my fabric probably though!

  4. I don’t have loads of FQ maybe around 10, but if you count the amount of fabric I have that could be made into FQ that’s a different story entirely ! shared via a tweet πŸ™‚

  5. I am not really a fat quarters person although some may disagree! I do know someone who would like the tie!

  6. Love the idea of a small projects book, as I have big ideas but never complete them. I have one fat quarter from the V& A retro range so I could do with some more! Thanks!

  7. Hi Tori,
Congratulations, you have won the bag! I can keep it at the studio for you to collect (maybe at studio sale on Monday afternoon) or save it for the next Sew Sociable.

Let me know what you think
