Hello Ruth,
Just to say how much I enjoyed your exhibition at The Hub which I went to last weekend. It was so thoughtful, the way you added another dimension to the fabrics and made the viewer reflect on the use of cloth and the memories it holds. I make a lot of memory quilts for parents, from childrens outgrown clothes, and the pleasure of taking a bag of clothes from a customer and handing back a memory quilt never ceases to give me to give me enormous satisfaction.
I also was very touched by your words about pressing, it’s a poem really, all part of the ‘ slowly is satisfying’ which I too find so pleasing.
