I’m putting on a small exhibition in my garden studio in Loughborough 2-20 August. As well as some of my own recent work, I’ve invited Kathryn Parsons to show some of her work as well. We have a small events programme alongside, details of these are below.

Material evidence is an intimate exhibition of recent work by Ruth Singer in her garden studio with invited artist Kathryn Parsons. Both artists have a research-led practice and often explore related topics including history and landscape. Ruth will be showing recent work including Blossom & Thorn, a hedgerow homage, fresh from it’s hedge-display at Timber Festival. She will also share other work made since 2020 which has research at its core around themes of care and discovery.
Kathryn uses a diverse range of materials to share true stories of place, people, history and nature. Many relate to her current residency with Langdyke Countryside Trust and an ancient, long-forgotten meadow now home to rare moths and wildflowers. You can find out more about Kathryn’s practice in my podcast episode 5.
The exhibition dates and opening times are listed here.
