Gifts and courses for creative folk
Early in my career I was a product maker, churning out scarves and brooches at this time of year, then later it was books and workshops and kits that I sold.
I don’t make so much these days, and I don’t run many workshops but it would be foolish of me not to at least promote some of the things I have that would make great gifts for creative folk (or that you can put on your own list!)
I’m very happy to gift wrap and send things direct to your recipient or produce a PDF or printed gift voucher for a workshop or course.
Publications
I have written quite a few books, two of them self-published and they make particularly good small, postable gifts.

Lost Threads: Mary Linwood’s Legacy by Ruth Singer
60 page A5 booklet covering the Mary Linwood: Art, Stitch & Life exhibition. This catalogue includes image of all the Mary Linwood embroideries featured in the exhibition including several close up details and the reverse of several too. There is also a section on Ruth’s own work for the exhibition.

Criminal Quilts
The book of my previous project, heavily illustrated 80 page soft back book, self published alongside the exhibition Criminal Quilts. The book contains historical essays and hundreds of images of women criminals as well as the textiles they have inspired. It’s ideal for history fans as well as creative people.

Criminal Quilts Mini Prints
To mark the end of my Criminal Quilts project, I have put together this limited edition of prints showing a number of pieces which were made after the book was published. This is a set of 15 A5 cards (the same size as the book) which are suitable for framing or putting on the wall. Images on one side, information about the work on the back.

Making Meaning Journal
Three printed copies of my Making Meaning Journal full of images and essays from my Cultures of Care project.
2 x A5 copies, 1xA4, each 40 pages and full of lovely stuff.
Three issues for just £9!
Work with me
If you would like gift vouchers for any of these, please just email ruth@ruthsinger.com and I will send one out.

Find Your Focus
My annual course for gentle reflecting and planning. Find Your Focus is an holistic view of your creative practice and realistic ways of working out what you really want to be spending your time doing (not what you’ve been told you should be doing).
