Available for pre-order before publication in August

My new book, Tangled; Textile Stories of Care and Connection, is almost ready!
It’s taken me a really long time to get to this point, but in the end, it has worked out really well. This summer I celebrate 21 years of self-employment as an artist and writer, so it’s a perfect time to launch my new book!
I’m really excited to share this book which brings together the last decade of my work as a textile artist, along with my background story of museums and textile history.
My idea for the book came from my solo exhibitions Emotional Repair and Textile Traces in 2018 & 19 and wanting to create a more permanent record of all the work I made for them both. Having taken so long to come to fruition, the book now has far more than just those two exhibitions. I have included a lot of the work I made for Narrative Threads in 2015 and from 2020 onwards – almost 100 pieces in total, which is quite incredible!

Tangled: Textile Stories of Care & Connection (Pre-order)
Tangled answers the question I get asked the most: “Where do you get your ideas from?” This book includes essays on how I got to where I am now, how museums and heritage are threaded through my work and how the themes of care, connection and history continue to guide everything I make.
Tangled is 150 pages in glorious A4 paperback with photos of almost every piece I have made in the last decade. Printed in the UK.
This is a special pre-order price until 30th July
